When plucky eleven-year-old Anna Richardson goes missing out-of-work journalist Robert MacLennan is hired to find her, but Anna hasn’t been abducted she’s slipping uncontrollably backwards through time towards a point of no return. Separated by the years but connected by journals that Anna leaves behind, as Robert is pursued across Europe by people bent on harnessing Anna’s ability as the ultimate weapon they both fight to discover some way of saving Anna from her inexorable slide into oblivion and the world from the awesome powers that lie behind this.
